Sarah Kanfo is a Canadian-born artist living and creating in Safed, Israel.

Raised in a creative family, with a painter father and a fashion designer mother, Sarah was immersed in art, beauty, and aesthetics from an early age.

Her parents founded an art gallery and named it after her. Growing up surrounded by paintings, artists, and creativity, the gallery became a second home — a place where she spent countless hours drawing, observing, and developing her artistic sensibility.

Deep down, Sarah always knew that her heart belonged to art. Throughout her journey, she explored different forms of artistic expression, searching for the language that would truly reflect her vision. Yet one thing remained constant — the artist within her was an inseparable part of who she was.

Eventually, she made the decision to devote herself entirely to art, driven by a desire to create something meaningful.

What she felt was missing most in the world was connection — the ability to bring people together, despite their differences, and reveal the beauty and strength found in unity.

In 2023, she began developing her distinctive artistic language — compositions formed from countless small human figures, each with its own movement, character, and presence, coming together to reveal a larger image.

Through her work, Sarah explores the delicate relationship between individuality and togetherness. Each figure exists as a complete world of its own, yet becomes part of something far greater when united with others.

Her paintings invite the viewer to come closer, discover the intricate details, and then step back to experience the beauty and power of the whole.
